Hosted by the ICAA Southeast Chapter | 3 Credits towards the Certificate in Classical Architecture (Literature)
This course introduces the major architectural treatises, pattern books, and builders’ manuals that have influenced classical architectural design from the Renaissance to the present. Emphasis is on publications that have been particularly significant in shaping America’s classical architecture. The presentation will illustrate the role and importance of publications in transmitting architectural information and the value of these works as design resources for contemporary architecture.
